The Denso rotary-style mechanical injection pump is a high-precision, distributor-type fuel system widely used in various compact and medium-duty diesel engines. Unlike the large, inline P-pumps found in heavy-duty applications, the rotary pump uses a single high-pressure pumping element and a distributor rotor to meter and pressurize fuel to each cylinder in the firing order.
