This Horizontal Vertical 20 ton log splitter is built for both configurations. This allows you to just slide the log over while in the vertical position rather then lifting them on the beam. Just plug this 2HP unit into your existing outlet and begin splitting.
We recommend using a 25 amp dedicated circuit breaker to run this log splitter with 110 VAC.
How does this compare to a gas powered 20 ton unit? Answer: The only difference is no more filling up with gas and oil, and no fumes! This is the same unit we run with gas motors as well, as a matter of fact if you decided to switch to gas motor a few years down the road you can do that. Just swap out the motors.
With the high torque of these electric motors, you are not giving up any power, just the maintenance of owning a gas log splitter. This log splitter comes with a full tow package and is road towable. Complete one year warranty on all parts.
This log splitter is customizable with the following options:
- 4 Way Wedge – Split logs into 4 pieces. 4 way wedge just slips over existing single wedge. (Can slide on and off quickly, choose 4 way wedge option to see picture) 4 way wedge will reduce opening size by 2″.
- Log Cradles – HV units catch falling wood saving you from bending over and picking up split wood off the ground and splitting again. Just imagine the amount of extra times you could save from bending over picking up firewood to split again from each cord of wood? Cradles are bolted on the beam and can be remove at anytime.

Please note these log splitters are delivered via freight truck. You will be responsible to take the crate off the back of the truck unless you select lift gate delivery as an option. Some assembly is required.
